The Blu-ray looked excellent so i wonder if 4K will improve on that?

Hard to imagine, but at least the expanded colour palette should improve on an already stunning BD. And by March, we should all be ready for an ultra hi-def plague of frogs...

Mmm... no press release. No confirming posts anywhere else that I’ve seen. The above artwork is from the Media Play website that was announcing the Ten Commandments Blu-ray package (1923 & 1956).

Until there’s more, l won’t get excited.

Well, the 4K UHD should look amazing. As for the movie, it's a film of two halves; Heston clean shaven is a lot of fun, but Heston with the big beard & speaking in stentorian tones is a bit of a bore.

I just cant wait for this to happen.... Its so odd as I said to myself earlier this week I just hope the Ten Commandments would come out in 4K, and my wish has come true! I loved this film the first time I saw it as a kid and have never stopped! Its so beautiful to look at and the colours are out of this world, happy days...

Would you prefer that the news to be etched in stone or encrypted upon a tablet? :D

If memory serves (always a question these days!), the restoration that’s on Blu-ray was done in 4K so it should be a relatively simple matter of authoring that to a disc.
