SVS unveils SoundPath balanced and optical cables

Subwoofer and speaker manufacturer SVS has announced the availability of the SoundPath Balanced XLR (pictured above) and Digital Optical cables. The XLR line ranges in lengths from 1 to 15 meters and start at $39.99, while the optical cables come in 1-, 2- and 3-meter lengths, starting at $29.99.

The Balanced XLRs feature cold-fused 24K gold plating on all electrical contacts and premium zinc-alloy terminals with black nickel plating for improved conductivity. A five-layer insulation system within the cable will reject noise, EMI, and RF interference. Three balanced oxygen-free-copper conductors are isolated for superior connection integrity while second and third layers of insulation consist of an aluminum wrap shield and 56-strand spiral braid of high purity copper. A PVC jacket provides flexibility, grip, and forms the final two layers.

The Digital Optical cables use a polished monofilament design for smooth transitions and better transfer between components. SVS says the cables deploy aircraft-grade aluminum terminals and 24K gold-plated connectors for a highly conductive connection free from distortion. A protective braided cotton jacket allows an easier grip and flexibility for routing and placement. The cables pass uncompressed 2-channel PCM stereo and compressed 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS audio.

“All SVS SoundPath audio accessories follow the same design philosophy of bringing inspired engineering and world-class performance to more people than ever,” said Gary Yacoubian, President, SVS. “Across the board, from the look, feel, and sound, our new SVS SoundPath Optical cable provides a high-end audio experience in every way.”

SVS cables are covered by a 5-year  unconditional warranty. For more information, visit SVS.
