LG Electronics has announced the lowest TV prices of the year for the 2018 Black Friday holiday. LG’s 2018 Black Friday Season promotion offers “the best prices” of the year on many TV models across several screen sizes, as well as a new 86-inch class UHD TV. Included in the offer are the LG OLED C8 with AI ThinQ 55-inch class (54.6 inches measured diagonally) model, now available for $1,699, the 65-inch class (64.5 inches diagonal) C8 model priced at $2,699, and the 77-inch class C8 model (76.5 inches diagonal) now available at $6,999 (a savings of $2,000 from is regular price of $8,999). The offer incorporates LG OLED TVs, SUPER UHD TVs and UHD 4K TVs.

65-inch class model C8, $2,699.99 (regularly $3,499.99)

LG says it was the first company to introduce OLED pixels to large screen TVs, and currently offers the widest selection of models on the market. The company claims that technical reviews from experts suggest that LG OLED is “the best TV technology ever,” as a result of its ability “to create its own light.” 8 million pixels can be individually controlled and turned on or completely off resulting in better black levels, greater detail in darker areas and no light bleed.

LG Super UHD TV SK9000 Series
55-inch class model SK9000, $899.99 (regularly $1,499.99)
65-inch class model SK9000, $1,299.99 (regularly $2,199.99)

The 2018 LG SUPER UHD TVs feature Nano Cell Display technology which can improve color gamut, provide deeper black levels and better wide viewing angles, according to LG. Full Array Local Dimming can control black levels and enhance local contrast. All 2018 LG OLED and LG SUPER UHD TVs feature 4K Cinema HDR: Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG, both with LG’s proprietary tone-mapping technology.

LG UHD TV UK6570PUB Series

I am extremely disappointed with the Black Friday OLED prices. These prices are unchanged from the equivalent models from last year.
