Klipsch introduces PGA Tour earphones and portable speaker

For its 75th anniversary, home theater speaker aficionados Klipsch have announced a relationship as official licensee of the PGA Tour, teeing off with the release of the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Sport PGA Tour Edition earphones. To be followed by a Klipsch Groove Portable Bluetooth Speaker PGA Tour Edition ($129) available in July, the initial PGA Tour edition T5 IIs earphones are “engineered for extreme performance” and are available this month for $249.

“We are excited to introduce the first two products of the collection. This partnership combines two of my greatest passions – premium audio solutions and golf, which I believe will resonate similarly with Klipsch and PGA TOUR fans alike,” said Tommy Jacobs, SVP of Sales and Marketing at Klipsch Audio. “Avid golfers can now elevate their game with the most premium earphones and speakers on the market today.”

The new earphones are both dust and water-tight (a moisture removal system ensures they stay dry, rated IP67), include a button-activated transparency mode to hear the surroundings, and up to 32 hours of battery life (8 hours in the ‘phones). There are also six sizes of ear tips, a pair of memory foam tips and three sizes of “no-budge” ear wings for a secure fit. The PGA Tour color palette of blue and red plus logo are featured on both the earphones and splash- and dust-proof (IP56) Bluetooth speaker. The latter product includes a rechargeable 8-hour battery life.

“Adding Klipsch to the PGA TOUR’s licensed portfolio is a natural fit,” noted Len Brown, Chief Legal Officer and EVP Licensing. “Klipsch produces quality products, and more and more we are seeing golfers enjoying our sport socially with music as a centerpiece.”
