There's another story, if not a love story then a story of mutual admiration, in DZ. Tonya and Lara admire each other. The first time Tonya sees Lara (Schwindiskey's Xmas party) she says "Yuri, there's an extraordinary girl ...."
When Tonya leaves the last letter with Lara, it contains the line that she confesses that Laurisa Antipov is a decent person. Lara returns the favor by naming her love-daughter with Yuri "Tonya".
