We’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal to continue carrying Paramount content on YouTube TV. That means you will continue to have access to Paramount channels, including CBS, CBS Sports, and Nickelodeon, and any recordings in your Library. If you’re subscribed to add-ons like Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, BET+, or the Entertainment Plus package, access to that content also remains uninterrupted.

As a reminder, family managers have the ability to pause or cancel anytime. You can find more information in our Help Center.

With this agreement, YouTube TV will continue to offer 100+ channels, while enabling more user choice in the future. Thank you for your patience as we negotiated on your behalf. As always, we appreciate your YouTube TV membership.

Sincerely,
The YouTube TV team

I received the same email, @Ronald Epstein . Fortunately, the issue was resolved this time. Unfortunately, it will not be the last time a situation like this will occur. It's been happening over and over with all the services - - streaming, cable TV, and satellite - - for several years.

Not going to be too much longer before YTTV hits the prices when I initially dropped traditional cable/sat for cheaper streaming options. It's ridiculous that this industry is stuck in the same ole cycles. We need all the services; streaming, cable TV and sat; to band together and flat out refuse anymore price increases. It will sting at first but, once these channels are can no longer be viewed anywhere, they will crawl back to the services begging for any crumbs just to be seen again.

Sports is the problem, it has ruined everything. We can't have decently priced services because we have to pay someone $700 million to successfully hit a ball maybe 30% of the time.

I am at the same point.

I think this will be the last YouTube price increase I will tolerate. I expect another in a year and at that point, I'll look to getting an indoor antenna.

I read somewhere that a free streaming service has introduced local channels, which would be everything I need. I forgot the name of the service.

If you think the players making less money would decrease streaming prices, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. Billionaires didn’t become billionaires by being generous to those that purchase their products. They’re more greedy as a group than most athletes because they want to make more money and with it more power. Unlike the athlete who has a limited amount of time to maximize their earnings potential because of Father Time.

I don't think the money spent on players is the problem. I think the problem is that almost all cable/satellite/streaming packages are sports oriented. I no longer watch sports (except for golf). Every package offering is about sports, sports, and more sports. In order to get channels I want I have to pay for sports I don't watch. This could be solved with a la carte programming. That's what I used to have when I had a C-Band dish in the days before HD.

I am still quite a ways off from hitting the point where the cost comes close what Comcast wanted to charge me when I dumped them. Even with YTTV's latest price hike, my cost for Internet and YTTV will be $128 per month. Two years ago Comcast's price for Internet + TV went up to $236 per month here -- and it's more now. I may look at Hulu Live TV at some point, though, since it includes ESPN+, which I subscribe to during the NHL regular season for out of market hockey games. That would save me $12 per month for 6 months.

I watch a few sports (NFL, NCAA football, hockey, golf, EPL soccer), so a live TV package is still something I want. Plus, my wife watches programs on some of the other channels. Unfortunately, having just a TV antenna will not get me the programming I am interested in.

The cost of live sports programming is really the main reason prices are going up. It is really the only consistent growth area in the business right now. The next time NFL TV rights are up for negotiations will dramatically reshape traditional models. Only the streaming services that have the NFL are showing exponential growth (sorry Max...)
