I just did a search of this forum, and didn't turn up any discussion threads about this movie, and I had very few returns in the SD and HD software forums. I expected to see quite a bit of discussion due to it being a Coppola film, and the large number of negative reviews; that usually kicks off discussions.

I don't understand the tremendous volume of negativity regarding the film. True, the story can meander a little bit, especially considering the average attention span of the average movie-goer, but going in with very tentative expectations (maybe that's the key), I enjoyed it far more than expected. It certainly didn't deserve the level of trashing that it took, in my opinion.

Perhaps my search was inadequate or buggy, and if that's the case, I apologize in advance for duplication.

It had limited distribution in theaters. That usually results in a lack of posts in the Movies forum.

I assume you found the HTF Blu-ray review?

Yes, I had read Kevin's review. My own thoughts are reflected in his summary, and the review in general.

It wasn't until you mentioned the limited distribution, that I became aware of just how limited it was. The maximum number of screens was 18, and the entire theatrical run grossed less than $240K. That is sad.
