The music was very well chosen and used in the perfect spots in the film. The lead characters are brutal but likable.

And I would agree and list it in the top 5 of the year. Very underrated film that because of it's grim realness, alot of viewers won't watch.

I agree John! But one thing I was a tad let down by was when:

The cop gets his in the end. I think he should have got off scott free after he dealt his own brand of justice!

Yeah, but one of the themes of the film, and indeed one of the things that sets it apart from your typical splatter-fest, is that no evil deed goes unpunished, even if the evil deed is somewhat justified.

Well....

(clearing throat)

I just finished watching the movie portion of
this DVD.

This was a pretty damn good film!

In fact, it exceeded all my expectations.

I'll go on record to say that though this was
probably the most violent and disturbing film that
I have seen in years -- it is brilliantly made!

Though I know nothing about Rob Zombie, I have
to applaud this man for sheer creativity. I loved
the manner in which this film was photographed,
accented with still camera effects and further
bolstered with a toe-tappin' classic rock soundtrack.

Yeah, I could easily embrace The Devils Rejects
as one of the best films of the year -- but I don't
expect that mainstream audiences will.

For those of you reading this thread for the first
time and are just plain curious and a little daring,
I would highly recommend you check out this movie.

Anything with Sid Haig aka Dragos from Jason of Star Command has to be worth a try! Still, I must wait til it drops in price a few. Then i will buy blind.

I'm so glad to learn that you liked the film, Ron! :emoji_thumbsup: I feared that you'd watch it, not like it and think that this Williamson fellow is nuts for touting it so hard. ;)

That's it. That's what pushed me over the edge! Now I will definitely check this title.

Good film, not great, with a 70's production feel to it. Forsythe was very good in his role.

Sheri Moon-Zombie was nothing to sneeze at, either, not only is she hot but she, along with Mosley, Forsythe and Haig, managed to completely change her personality for her role as Baby.

You'd never guess that these were the freindliest bunch of people on Earth in real life from watching them in this film. :)

^ Yeah, I also thought that was pretty funny, he seemed VERY uncomfortable with a lot of the scenes. I felt a little uncomfortable watching them...

Hadn't noticed, until the doc, that there were some of "Corman's girls" in the film. I presume that was Ginger Lynn the porn "actor" there too, doing what she does best...loved that scene line "50-50".

Who is the actor that plays the married old guy who
was getting the ice out of the machine when he was
approached by the playful blonde?

It seems I have seen him in dozens of movies before.

He's a well-known character actor.

What is his name and what other movies have I
possibly seen him in?

Thanks
