It's just playing back a bunch of pre-recorded movie clips.

You'll notice how (when he's done with an action), he goes back to the same position (i.e. standing in the center of the room). This is so they can cut to an 'inbetween' clip of him just standing there, which just cycles through so it looks like he's waiting for your next command.

You can tell he's monitoring himself on the tv because he keeps looking at the tv when he's done (to line himself up properly for the video cut)
