BrandsMart USA in FL has HI-DEF TV's for $500.00 off if you order "Voom" for 2 years at $60.00 a month or more. This means you could get the 26" Samsung HDTV for "FREE" (Their sale price is $498.88. Is this a good deal? (Not just for the Samsung) The $500.00 rebate from "Voom" I don't know with the $500.00 rebate if you get it installed free though? Any thoughts on this deal & Voom in general? Thanks.

I wouldn't count on Voom being around for 2 years. Do you have to pay for the service in advance?

I would do it. I tried to get Voom anyway, but the trees in my back yard prevented me from getting the signal so I couldn't get it installed.

Voom is so worth it is you have a HDTV, there's just not much quality HDTV programming out there. How many times can I watch gotdamn nature shows on discovery, and the endless bullshit on INHD, and HDNET. My city doesn't have ESPNHD yet, so Voom would have been a godsend.

This deal is awesome, as IS THE VOOM SERVICE.

Voom will be around. Worse case senario is that they are bought by Echostar.

Get with it....free installation too until the end of this month.

    Regards

    Gregg

Calvin, If you can let us know exactly what the "Voom" deal is, like do you get the $500 rebate up front or after one year or two years & etc. I also noticed that they still have the Zenith 27" HDTV C27V22 for $348.88 & a 30" Philips for $798.88 Some more sale HDTV's are here www.brandsmartusa.com/ads/p6.htm

It all depends on what programming you get with the $60/month. There are two main packages they give; the voom and the va va voom...yeah, I know...corny. I have the Va Va Voom and with taxes, it's about 110 with all the taxes included for two TV's. That 79.99 and 9.95 x 2 for two boxes with all the channels available except the porn channel. I really enjoy the package. The standard package is only $39/month. So, the package you are getting depends on your decision. Go to www voom com for more information.

Sorry it took so long. The deal has expired by now. Voom isn't an option for me. It doesn't carry any Spanish channels. The deal and the Voom service looked good though. They did send the $500.00 rebate within 6 weeks.

I have had Voom for almost a month now and I LOVE IT!!!!!! I had DirecTV as well as Digital cable for the past 4 years and neither can touch VOOM, not only do the HD channels look better cuz........well they are HD, but i would say that 90% of the rest of the channels come in at 1080i even though they are not High Def, my TV is a Mitsubishi 42" HDTV capable and until I got voom I never really got to enjoy it unless I was watchin a DVD at 480p..... one thing that is unique about voom that sold it to me, is the fact that it has a built in Off air reciever to pick up whatever HD stations are broadcast in your area, the cheapest I could find an off air for was around 300 bucks, but i got one for free built into my VOOM reciever including the antenna that they mount next to the dish, not only that but the local stations are right there in the guide, and though they are off air, when you select say channel 4 news off the guide, you dont even know its not coming through the dish, I am very happy with Voom and would recommend it to anyone with an HDTV [IMG] [IMG] the only downfall is no PPV right now, but I would bet my TV that they will have it soon, and when they do alot if not all will be HiDef
