Your thoughts on Kino-Lorber Blu-rays (2 Viewers)

I waited, figuring they would all come out in the US in a few years. It was too pricey for me. And in general, the masters weren't new, either.

I doubt Kino is using a different master than Via Vision's Imprint used.
Having said that, Kudos to Kino on releasing this.

Should be easy to figure out was Imprint 2020 off of original neg? But KINO will have the edge despite no supplements

What forum depends on whether you're asking for a Blu-ray or DVD box set. I don't know if there is a thread for William Wyler. You can do a simple search to see if one exists.

The scan for Detective Story was done in 2020. IMO, chances are both Blu-rays will be derived from the same scan. Bonus material will be announced by Kino in the coming weeks.

I think he's asking whether the 2020 Imprint BD release is derived from that same 4K scan as the upcoming Kino Blu-ray. IMO, I think so, but don't know for sure until I see the Kino Blu-ray.
