If you're talking about the John Wayne/Rock Hudson "The Undefeated" it's not part of the deal for two reasons. First off, no John Wayne movies in this current Paramount deal and secondly that movie is a Fox movie that was released on Blu-ray back in 2013. Of course, Fox movies belong to Disney now.Can we make suggestions about the Paramount deal here?
If so Smoky, Elvis films , The Undefeated,
Are you talking about the Carpenter directed and Kurt Russell "Elvis"? If so that was released by Shout! Factory on Blu-ray back in 2016.I’m not sure, but I hope so!
No, I’m talking about Elvis Presley’s Paramount films like Loving You and Blue Hawaii. Are you talking about the Carpenter directed and Kurt Russell "Elvis"? If so that was released by Shout! Factory on Blu-ray back in 2016.
Apparently, Elvis nor John Wayne movies are a part of this current Paramount deal. No, I’m talking about Elvis Presley’s Paramount films like Loving You and Blue Hawaii.
And thanks for the info on Undefeated. I missed the older Blu-ray, so I was hoping for a remastered version. If it’s with Fox , I guess we won’t see it any time soon.
And, to add to what Robert said, the Insider posted earlier...No, I’m talking about Elvis Presley’s Paramount films like Loving You and Blue Hawaii.
We asked for Blue Hawaii, they said no. They'll most likely release them as a collection, I'm just guessing.
That’s very possible- they’ve done so more than once in the DVD format. This year may be “hot” one for Elvis due to the upcoming big budget Baz Lehrman biopic. And, to add to what Robert said, the Insider posted earlier...
Yes. I would particularly like to see:Very excited about the Paramount deal. But I hope that most of the titles aren't just upgrades from previous DVD releases, you know, the usual suspects but instead movies making their R1 disc debuts:

Yes, as part of the 68 Comeback Special deal. But NBC hasn’t done much with it, and it’s out of print and I’d bet KL would do a great job with it.Believe it or not, it's owned by NBC!
It looks like most of the Paramount titles coming out on Blu-ray will be released this year. The 4K/UHD titles will be released this year and in 2023.OK, after news broke about the new Kino/Paramount deal, I gathered up some details posted by the Kino Insider across different message boards posting about this and I'd thought I'd like to summarize some of the details known so far:
Breakdown
71 titles are in this deal, with 3 renewed titles from the previous deal from both Paramount and CBS apiece
43 titles are making their US Blu-ray debut
8 titles are making their home video debut
16 titles are being released on UHD Blu-ray
At least one 3-D movie is part of the deal
Some of the titles were previously released by Imprint Films
A couple titles are from the Republic Pictures library
A few titles are in the film noir genre
Breakdown of the deal by decade
1940's - 2
1950's - 14
1960's - 12
1970's - 17
1980's - 9
1990's - 8
2000's - 3
Confirmed as NOT part of this deal
Any John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Miramax or TV movies
Any movies previously released on DVD or Blu-ray by Olive Films
Any movies previously released by Paramount on MOD Blu-ray
Any movie serials
Any Silent era movies (even renewals, as the breakdown makes clear)
Any movie currently entangled in some sort of legal rights quagmire (Looking for Mr. Goodbar, Little Darlings, Sunburn, etc.)
Beau James
Borsalino
Catch-22 (confirmed as licensed out to another label)
Compromising Positions (licensed to another label)
Fighting Back (licensed to another label)
Gunn
The Keep (the reason is pretty obvious)
When Worlds Collide (the only title the Insider would confirm as Kino asked for, but was denied)
Hope that helps. I can't wait to see what's coming from Kino in this deal!
If I had to guess based on the conclusion of their last sale which began on March 24th and ended in April, I would say the next Kino sale will happen towards the end of June into July.May we know when in June the next Kino Lorber Sale will be?

Well, it looks like "We are Soldiers" won't be one of them based on the Insider's comments in the other thread. I do wonder if "Tropic Thunder" will have the two versions of the film on it. The theatrical cut has been in 4K digitally, but I wonder about the director's cut of the film. Also, all the 15 remaining 4K UHD Blu-ray titles are all ones that have been previously released on Blu-ray.
if WWS is not getting 4K release under boutique label, i hope that Paramount will release it with their badge if the home video right still valid between Paramount and Icon Pictures. Or else, its time for Icon to look for international publisher to do a global release.Well, it looks like "We are Soldiers" won't be one of them based on the Insider's comments in the other thread. ...
