A good list but where's Lost Command? Directed by Mark Robson, photographed by Robert Surtees, and starring Anthony Quinn, Alain Delon and Claudia Cardinale, this movie merits a superb transfer, worthy of Sony's finest!

Just arrived in my mailbox today--new releases Who You Think I Am and White As Snow. Thankful to Cohen and KL for making these films available. Now--could please see to Olivier Assayas' Non-Fiction?

Mr. Insider, I wonder, if KINO releases another Ernst Lubitsch title, is it possible to include the Trailer for ERNST LUBITSCH’S THE PATRIOT (1928) and what ever little bits remain of the film? I think UCLA has the trailer and some fragments… just a thought, would a nice bonus feature touch.
I'm sorry, but it's a different department and I don't know what else is coming. And the extras for the disc has already been produced, I doubt they included a trailer for THE PATRIOT.

I have the dvd. If I remember correctly it’s non-anamorphic so a new bluray would be most welcomed.

I'm just speculate on the 1940s title, with indicator / Powerhouse starting us releases I'm wondering if Keno has picked up that remaining Mae West film there was included in their box set for release in North America

On the other forum, the Insider posted this decade breakdown of all the new-to-blu (in the U.S.) releases:

"New to the U.S. market:
90s x 1
80s x 1
70s x 3
60s x 1
50s x 1 - I'm pretty sure"

So the 1940s title was previously released in the U.S. There's been some early speculation that it *could* be Cover Girl (which would be nice, since the more recent restoration hasn't been made available yet in the U.S.).

And since others have been posting their wish lists, I'll throw mine in, too (and let me be clear: I'm certain few, if any, of these will be included in this first deal, but I certainly hope that Kino and Sony can work out another deal in the future that might include some of these).

Pennies From Heaven (1936)
You Were Never Lovelier (1942)
It Had To Be You (1947)
Tight Spot (1955)
Three For The Show (1955)
You Can't Run Away From It (1956)
Dance With Me (1998)

There are probably some others, too, but I can't think of them at the moment. Still, this list is certainly my most-wanted Sony titles.

You remember incorrectly! It is indeed anamorphic (even says so on the back jacket ;)). The picture looks good. Not sure I like the movie enough to upgrade to blu.

Tight Spot is in one of the U. K. Blu-ray box-sets of Columbia (now Sony) titles. I believe there is a copyright problem with You Were Never Lovelier and was the reason Twilight Time didn't follow up on You'll Never Get Rich. Being a major Rita Hayworth fan, I'd love You Were Never Lovelier to come out on Blu-ray.

I don't understand this, as it was released on DVD.

I was thinking the same thing this morning. It's why I'm not chomping at the bit more to get You Were Never Lovelier. I can watch it on DVD any time I want.
I agree, but I'd rather see it looking lovelier. The DVD, while certainly acceptable, is a trifle dark and grainy, and looking at it, I know it could look sublime, especially considering it was photographed by Rudolph Mate'.

I first became aware of this film during a Saturday matinee performance of the NY City Ballet a friend took me to. Jerome Robbins choreographed a little divertmento to "I'm Old Fashioned." The theater went dark, a screen appeared on the stage, and we watched Fred Astaire sing the song to Rita Hayworth. Then, when they began to dance, spotlights appeared illuminating couples on the stage dressed the same as Fred and Rita, and echoing their movements. It was as if I was transported to another world.
