I used to just call it "the remote" but now I have to be specific like "hand me the Tivo remote".
For some reason my Father calls it "the button puncher". [IMG]

We have adopted my sister Lisa and her husband's term: "El Remoto." I suppose if you are a Styx fan, you could thank it for turning your HT on by saying "Domo arigato Mister Remoto."

I call my ugly TV remote Tuco Benedicto Juan Ramirez AKA The Rat, my good looking DVD remote I call Blondie, and my badass Amp remote I call Angel Eyes.[IMG]
I had a Ferguson Video a few years ago with a tube shaped remote, supposed to look ultra-stylish, but it looked like a vibrator, friends would laugh and make fun when they saw it on the sofa, and I had some great times chasing my ex-girlfriend up and down the house with that remote, aaah memories.....[IMG]

I have a strange suspicion that Jack Briggs has a custom remote which he refers to as "The Monolith" that is precisely 1 x 4 x 9 in dimension with a stand that supports it vertically that makes a dissonant choral humming and sends radio signals to a moon of Jupiter when it is uncovered, but I have no proof. Hehe - mine would be "F$cker", as anyone at my place

could always here these brilliant lines ....

    "Where is that F$cker" or

"Who hid my F$cking remote" or

"Where did I put that F$cker" or

"Now the F$cker needs new batteries".

or my favorite - "Yes dear you may have the remote"

as I walk into another room thinking "I hope she doesn't

think she is going to have that F$cker all night."
