The DeNiro thread brought up some thought about one of my favorite actors; Harvey Keitel.
Have admired him since Reservoir Dogs and have went back to watch movies from his whole career after that.
    Few scenes I love:
    1. THELMA AND LOUISE ... interogation of Brad Pitt telling Pitt that his misery will be his "goddamn mission in life" ... classic Harvey
    2. ALICE DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE ...haven't seen the movie in a while but the whacked out character he played was fierce. Love the intensity with which he delivers lines.
    3. BAD LIEUTENANT ... what can I say??? [IMG]
So feed me some good scenes ... preferably where he bites his knuckels or combs his hair with a wet comb looking in a mirror (have anyone else noticed this in a lot of his movies?) [IMG]

Not a movie, but I just about split my seams the time Harvey hosted Saturday Night Live. One sketch had him use the men's room in a fancy restaurant with an attendent (Kevin Nealon). The bathroom was so small that they were pressed right up against each other while Harvey was trying to take care of business. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    "You don't look hip."
    Mean Streets (1973)
Charlie drunk, camera on him tight, as he glides through the red-lit nightclub.
    The Two Jakes (1990)
His decision to end it all, saying goodbye and lighting up that cigarette.
    Smoke (1995)
Auggie telling Paul Benjamin his Christmas story.
    Get Shorty (1995)
His "Fuck you, Fuckball" movie-within-the-movie cameo.

The scene where he's naked... oh wait, that's about 90% of the movies he does!
Probably the most disturbing scene of Harvey is when (in Bad Lieutenant of course) he pulls over the two girls in a car and is masturbating in the street making one of the girls stick her behind in the air and the other making blow job face. Quite sick.

The scene in "Bad Lieutenant" when he is stoned out of his pants and dances naked and starts to cry.
Man, he gets all the good parts [IMG]

The man made Clockers watchable. Barely.
But, any scene in Resevoir Dogs showed Harvey at his sternest. Commanding performance.
