I re-watched Once Upon A Time In America for the first time in a number of years last night and forgot just how great Morricone's score was for that film.
Ennio Morricone and Jerry Goldsmith are my favorites.
Dimitri Tiomkin (High and the Mighty, Portrait of Jenny) Bernard Hermann (Journey to the Center of the Earth) Jerry Goldsmith (Planet of the Apes) John Barry (High Road to China, Out of Africa) Rachel Portman (Cider House Rules) Danny Elfman (Nightmare before Chrismas) and most of the others
In addition I would add:
Stewart Copeland (Rumblefish) Christopher Young (Hellraiser) Christopher Franke (Babylon5)
and two game composers I like to listen to:
Matt Uelman (Diablo II) Inon Zur (Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate 2)
