OK, so it isn't exactly Sophie's Choice, but what if you had to choose one over the other?

As much as it would pain me I would have to keep my Tivo and do without the DVD. The Tivo is a real life style changer, you just do not feel as tied down to the TV.

I don't have a Tivo, so I guess I'd say DVD :)
I never feel tied down to the TV. The only show I absolutely have to watch is Buffy. There's two or three others I like to watch, but I wouldn't die without them.

Um, my non-existent Tivo or the 170 DVDs I DO own?
Decisions, decisions. This is too tough for me to say!

DVD player.

I rarely record stuff of TV even on my VCR. ( I don't have a TiVo)

Plus, many DVD versions are better than any TV version. I'd rather not see the TV prints of Citizen Kane and 8 1/2 again.

Don't have tivo.

In any case I can not see myself dumping dvd in favor of a glorified VCR.
