Your 1970s collection is interesting. I am also interested in Logan's Run. I was huge fan of the movie along with the tv show. I heard the stumbling block around logan's run was around the movie and if the show was going to be released it would be time with the released of the remake of the movie.

I still think we could be in trouble with the older shows being released due to the economy and the aging baby boomers. I am in my early 40s and grew up with the 1970s/1980s tv. However, i also seen some of the old 1960s shows on tv stations like ytv/fox 29, etc.

The economy might also change again very soon for the better and we'll see a revival of older shows released and an end to this unfortunate DVD drought, we can all hope so of course, we do know the interest is as strong as it's always been.

One rare series from the mid-1950s in "The Screen Directors Playhouse" from the Roach Studios. Among the directors represented were Fred Zinneman, Ida Lupino, Leo McCarey, John Ford, and George Marshall. TCM is showing 10 of these on January 18 at 8:00 pm.... part of the Roach Retrospect. Would love to see the "20th Century Fox Hour" out on dvd too. Some missed opportunities.

Thanks for the head's up on this! Didn't the Fox Movie Channel run the 20th Century Fox Hour for a brief time? One would think the 75th anniversary would be a great time to bring it back. And while we're on the subject, maybe Disney and Warner Brothers might be willing to put out more of their anthology shows. In the case of Warner Brothers, as far as I know, only segments about Giant and The Searchers have been released on the respective DVDs of those movies and we all know the situation about Disney and their reluctance to put their shows out.

*sighs* Too many live in the now and forget the then. Darn shame.
