If a man has sex with a male horse, does that make him gay?[IMG]

Wow. As I read the article, it wasn't really clear what caused his death until I got towards the end. I would agree that he has earned his Drawin award.

From the manner of death, it would seem that the horse violated the man.

    Disgusting, just disgusting...

    You think that's bad??

Have you guys ever heard of Peter Singer?

    Here's his Wikipedia entry:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Singer

The key paragraph, toward the bottom:

This man is a Princeton University professor (only part time now). Yes, one of the nation's most prestigious schools proudly employs a man who says bestiality is OK.

So, they're saying a horse near Seattle, slew him?

OK, that was pretty bad. I'll have to make a note to remove it from my repertoire. Where's my secretary at?

So how did he die? With a perforated colon, I assume the horse did the man and not the other way around? Must be scary to have a half-ton lover...

"We couldn't believe what we were seeing," said Sortland. "In the rare, rare case this happens, it's the person doing the animal. [you know a sentence got cut out here] I think that has led to the astonishment of all of the entities involved."

UNREAL. Wow - it really does take all kinds.

So let me see if I have this correct, the horse was, um.... doing the guy? Not that I have any interest in the answer to this question, but how in the heck do you teach a horse to do that?

After reading a news article, do you ever wish you hadn't? I need to go and find something to do so I can get the image of this idiot and this horse out of my mind.

Substitute "a 12 year old boy" for "your dog" and you have the NAMBLA creed. Way to go PETA, stay right out there on the lunatic fringe.[IMG]

I would be hesitant to call nerve.com, on the whole, "safe for work". It is, after all, a literary magazine that covers sex. However, Singer's review, available here is no more prurient or indecent than the rest of this thread, (though it probably will attract filters based simply on the url).

I'm of the opinion that Wikipedia distorts Singer's views on the issue.

I've actually watched a video-taped debate with Peter Singer and another individual (his name escapes me right now). Based on what Singer said during that debate, I do not believe Wikipedia is distorting Singer's views at all. The guy takes all of his beliefs to the furthest possible extreme. You've got to give him some credit for being consistent and true to his beliefs, but they get pretty far out there.

Slate's William Saletan has an interesting essay on Singer and Zoophilia.

As for taking beliefs to the furthest possible extreme, well, Singer is an ethicist, and ethicists prefer to ground their limits in principles, and not in indeterminables such as "moderation" and "extremism."

Personally, I find many of Singer's beliefs to be distasteful.
