Well, Lew, there's only one film on this list that I absolutely hate (Cries & Whispers). When I say I don't like them, I mean I have no desire to own or ever watch them again. Some I found boring (e.g., LOA), others piss me off philosophically (e.g., Do the Right Thing), others are great movies with such a bad ending that the entire movie is ruined (e.g., Blow Up) and some just have bad acting IMO (e.g., Gone with the Wind).
I'm left with Cries & Whispers, Sunrise, and Titanic.
I haven't see Cries & Whispers and I'll just about take anything over Titanic so...I'll take Sunrise.
And that means John Thomas ends up with Cries & Whispers.

Yeah, it's my fault.
One interesting aspect of this tournament is the almost snap decision you have to make when George posts the new list. ( Thought process.... Should I take this one, or that one. Hurry, hurry before someone else picks this film ) This is aggravated by the quality selections available in each round. I've picked early in each round so far, and I've been torn between 3 or 4 films in each case.
- Walter.
There's only a couple of westerns in this pool that I don't like, but I included them because they're very popular with others. Surprisingly, neither has been taken yet.
