Just a nifty sighting of the Marantz RC-2000 remote being used in an episode of Stargate SG-1 ('Crystal Skull'.) Carter is using it as a high tech Geiger counter about 5 mins into the show. Computer graphics are superimposed on the display. Anyone by remote chance have a screen capture of this?

Yeah, they used it again in last weeks new episode on Showtime (I had forgotten about 'Crystal Skull'...). They have also used the RC2000 a couple of times, just in case you wanted to know for your appearance on Jeopardy!

I saw the Crystal Skull Episode also. I was like, there's my remote! I didn't know it could do all that stuff too. [IMG]

So it's a "universal" remote? [IMG]

It was the Pronto (not RC5000) in last week's episode. There was also an episode (Scorched Earth) where they used the Pronto to activate a Naquada bomb. And, as mentioned above, the Marantz RC2000 was used in the Crystal Skull episode as some sort of neutrino counter.

I wonder if they have a downloadable CCF for the Stargate Remote anywhere.
I would love to point mine at the sun and say " It appears as though some sort of Heavy Metal has been introduced in to the Sun, there for leading to the change in the color specturm it is radiating" [IMG]

I laughed when Carter said it was shifting toward the IR side of the spectrum. That's some IR emitter on the Pronto! Maybe they'll use a Pronto Pro for an RF catastrophe in an upcoming episode ...

They have also used a Sharper Image ear and nose hair trimmer as a hi-tech prop in a couple of episodes too.

I think that very soon we may get some Stargate products on the Market.
Just think they could sell you exact duplicates of instruments used on the show that would work as a Home Theater remote.
Sort of like my Star Trek TNG Phaser remote only they would be competent remotes.
Yes you to can have Carter's Spectrum analyzer and use it to control your TV, DVD Player, Home Theater Reciever, DSS dish and much more. [IMG]
