Dumb subject, I know. What I'd like to do here is ask for movie recommendations; for example, by looking at my list I was hoping some of you could recommend movies that I may have missed. I welcome more to join along in asking for recommendations - I'll look at your lists and do the same for you.
Thanks for your time (and patience with the subject header..):rolleyes

Hmmm. Well that is quite a WIDE selection you have there.
Everything from Amelie to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
It seems that everything on your list is on mine except for a few titles. So I think I'll throw you a list of some of my favorite movies and hopefully some will hit you favorably.
  • 12 Monkeys
  • Se7en
  • Kevin Smith Films (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and the Clerks Cartoon)
  • Snatch
  • Fight Club
  • Fast Times at Ridgemont High
  • Donnie Darko
  • Being John Malkovich
  • Super Troopers (I'll be hanged for this, but I thought it was damn funny)
  • Edward Scissorhands (Very manipulative movie I know, but just so heart warming)
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Following
  • So many more, just go from left to right at your local rental store's DVD section.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. That list you link to is only of 2001 films. Are you asking for other 2001 films? Or any films. I can't say that I have any idea what classic films you'd like based on your taste in 2001 films, but I could certainly recommend classic films if that's what you're trying to do. Please clarify.

I suppose for me personally, I'm trying to get recommendations for recent (2000-2002) movies that I've missed. I haven't seen Ghost World yet, but I believe that I'll like it - seems to have good word of mouth and the people who do like it seem to have similar tastes.
I hope that clears things up a bit. ;)

You've got 45 movies listed on your 2001 list (admittedly 15 of them are still to be seen)! It might be easier if you had a list of films you hadn't seen that I could pick from, though nothing from 2001 leaps to mind.
