Is this open-ended, or is there a set point goal to "win" or most points after a certain number of screenshot?

Well, it's open-ended so long as no one is actually able to correctly identify one of the shots. Or, it'll be a twelve-way-tie.

I didn't even submit a guess on the first film, though, if I hadn't checked the aspect ratio, I might have guessed "The Cell," regardless of John's tastes in films.

Sorry, just now popped in, but if it makes you feel better, I did instantly think that it was indeed a mighty penis. And I'm almost certain that it is my cousin walking across the mighty penis, but to the best of my knowledge, he has never appeared in a film. But (and I'm just guessing here) I imagine if he did appear in a film walking across a mighty penis, it most likely wouldn't be the first thing he brought up.

It's so hard to predict what people will know. I can't believe only 3 people total got this one, particularly after that second shot, but 4 got The Proposition from that very generic first shot.

Haven't seen The Cell in ages, but the first screenshot was a pretty memorable trailer shot.

FWIW, I think The Cell is one of the greatest horror ficks of all time. There is a tendency to think iit is nothing but visuals, just because the visuals are so intense, but it is one hell of a movie in every aspect.

From the first shot all I could think of was Minority Report but didn't think the AR was right.

Haven't seen The Proposition yet. It's somewhere on my catchup rental list.
