If you liked a strips jokes, would you buy merchandise of the characters no matter how questionalbe the art may be? I just released a comic book of my strips, and hopefully the jokes will sell it alone, as the art is one step below Dilbert detail. But when it comes to merchandising these characters, I may have to hire real artists to draw 'em.

This is a rough, uncompleted idea of a winter themed sweatshirt..

I think that Dilbert, The Far Side, The Simpsons, Beavis and Butthead, and Southpark show that great humor trump artistic ability. Even Peanuts is no artistic tour de force.

I your comic is funny, they will come.
