yami 1300 - 740

    Is there any real difference in sound quality between the 2
    The 1300 has better 192 dacs does this make a difference
    what advatages does the 1300 have over the 740 or the other way

    I'm not sure if the DAC's would make a big difference or not. I don't have a lot of experience with 192Khz DAC's. One would think there would be a difference. Someone else can touch on that topic.

    The RX-V1300 does have a bit more power, not by much, but could be helpful. The 1300 also has more inputs, two extra optical inputs, one extra coaxial input, I believe one or more audio and/or a/v inputs. They 1300 also has a much higher bandwidth componenet video inputs/output at 60Mhz compared to 30Mhz on the 740. The Zone 2 feature I believe is a little more sopisticated. You get a few mor DSP modes I think. The remote is learning, can't remember if the 740's is or not. And the ever spectacular detachable power cord. [​IMG]
