does anyone have this unit and if so can you give me a brief review of its performance...i am thinking of purchasing this unit to replace my toshiba s9200..i am very happy with the sound of this unit, but it does lack sacd..or any suggestions on a unit with sacd and dvd audio would be appreciated...price range up to $800...thanks guys

I'd buy it as a dedicated audio player at best. It's not much of a video player. Not their best offering, imho. I'd look out for the Yamaha s2500 or even the c750 changer as alternatives if you wanted to stay in this brand.

I had this unit for about a minute, until I saw that it does not pass DVE's pluge test (no blacker than black). I returned it for the Denon 2910 and have been very happy with it, although a bit pricier at $650.

Basically, the forthcoming Yamaha s2500 in January will probably be a direct competitor to the Denon 2910. The Yamaha s1500 isn't even that.
