I may have been able to get it a few dollars cheaper however wanted to go with
an authorized Yamaha dealer, most if not
all on-line dealers in the RXV line are
not authorized, and either charge for a
warranty or fix it in-house themselves.
The RXV1 receiver is the best I have ever owned, 5 stars plus.

Just purchased my RX-V1GL from Sound Advice today for $1378. It will be replacing my Denon 3300. For the price I paid I figured I could not go wrong. Suppose to arrive Tuesday cant wait.

No, in addition to the surround sound setting not holding the receiver also came down with audio distortion problems so sent it back to Sony Service Center in PA for a second opinion and hopefully repair this time. Best regards.

I have heard and seen the ad's for this receiver, too. Sounds like a great deal. I've also seen the ad's for 50% off of in-stock B&W speakers. Has anyone confirmed this? I need a set of speakers, and this might be just the deal I was looking for.
