Yamaha RX-V863BL or Onkyo TX-SR607 (1 Viewer)

Does anybody have experience with either of these? I've been reading more reviews than I can count, and the two things that always come up for these two is this: the Onkyo lacks reserve power, runs hot, mid-range sucks; the Yamaha doesn't have all the nifty stuff like Audyssey or dynamic EQ, has fewer HDMI inputs, but the sound quality is awesome.

I like Onkyo better, myself. But my Onkyo is a different model. If you don't close it in, the heat shouldn't be a problem. Mine is supposed to run hot also, but it's not closed in, and it barely gets warm. Mine isn't a problem with the other two things you mentioned, so I can't say anything about them, since I'm not personally familiar with the 607.
