Anyone have any thoughts on why the switched AC outlet on the rear of this unit might stop working? Went to shut off the unit (places the unit into stand-by mode) and the equipment connected to the switched outlet remained ON.

Sounds like your "switched" outlet suddenly became permanent. The only suggestion I have is to unplug the main unit completely and hopefully, the "switch" will reset itself, otherwise, you may have to take it in for repair. A switched outlet is pretty simple, as you probably already know. A switch (relay) makes or breaks the connection between your AC voltage at the plug and the slave unit that is plugged into it. When you turn off the main units power the "switch" should open and disconnect the AC from the slave unit.

Sorry, I couldn't give you more help.
