Yamaha RX-V530 vs. Pioneer VSX-D811S (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

First of all, thank you all at HTF for your great support and advice. It has helped me so much in my first attempt at HT.

I've already purchased JBL NSP1 speakers and a DLS 10 through eBay. JBL NSP1 $240.90 including shipping and DLS 10 still waiting for auction to end but won't be too expensive.

Now I need a receiver for less than $300. Right now I am leaning towards the Yamaha RX-V530 which I'm currently bidding on and hopefully will pay $250 total. The Pioneer VSX-D811S seems like a good option as well. Any other < $300 receivers good?

Please advise, almost done here! Got my Video Essentials waiting to learn how to calibrate HT!

I enjoy my Panasonic SAHE100 (approx $250) quite a lot. The Pioneer is probably a better unit, but I'm more than pleased with the Panasonic.
