I've read about some people saying they can hear the Yamaha Receiver's fan when it comes on in high heat conditions.

Well, I set mine to "always on" and I'll be dammed if I can hear it at all. Can somebody tell me where it's located so that I might visually see it running?

I talked to Yamaho twice plus a tech at one of their authorized service centers and I never got a straight answer as to where it's located.

They only said that it is quiet.

    TIA

I was looking on the Yamaha web site too check out the line. I have the 2400 and I have never heard the fan. So I wanated to make sure it had one. Still dont know if it does. Looks Identicle too the 2500...so I assume if there is a fan- its internal. Basically- I've never heard the fan. I have on my DLP TV and my projector...but not on the RV-X2400

As far as I know the 2400 and 2500 are the same, except the 2500 has an advance menu setting whereby you can manually have the fan running.

I set it to this mode and can hear nothing--absolutely nothing.
