Has anyone visited the newly revised Yamaha website recently. I just did and saw the rx-v1300 and 2300. I didnt know Yamaha made these models or had plans to. I then started checking around at authorized Yamaha dealers and could not find them being sold online. Does anyone know where these receivers are being sold or when they will be available.

    Damn,

The RXV-1300 has 110WPC and 192/24 DAC's over 80WPC and 96/24 DAC's that the RXV-1200 has. What was the reatail $$ for the 1200?? It says the 1300 is $799.

Maybe the store will let me upgrade to the 1300 from the 1200 on the cheap.

Be forewarned, I sell a ton of Yamaha rcvrs and am on their product advisory board, and I have heard that some of the lit. and specs are inaccurate/not yet finalized , so while these rcvrs look great, don't yet count on the info you have read thus far...when I hear more (or see and hear the 1300, which will be the first out) I will post it here....

TRYING TO GET people buzzing about their new products is what a marketing dept does, and innacurate info on web sites is prevalent everywhere....the 1300 is due out VERY soon!!!

    Nick,
I'm told they will be released in Canada in October. We get them a few months after they hit the market in the 'States.

When I bought my rx-v1200 last year, I think I got it right when it came out which was around October. On a related noted, Good Guys has put up the rx-v2200 at $799, so I'm not sure how much the rx-v1200 is gonna come down to. If the specs are right on the website, you would be better off buying the clearance 2200 at the same price as the upcoming 1300 and you'd get more features and same power than the 1300. (on the comparisono chart, the 1300 is listed as 100 watts *6, same as the 2200).
