Yamaha rx-v1200 Vs. Denon 2802 (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I was just wandering what are the major differences between these fantastic receivers. Any feature or sound performance in either music or HT differences.

or when it comes down to value or build quality etc.

Also how does the Onkyo 696 / 797 match up with these systems..

angelo, the guys at my store (which sells both lines) just sat down again and re-compared these 2 pieces froma SOUND QUALITY ONLY PERSPECTIVE using many diff. speaker brands and many diff. surround formats (dd,dts,dplII music and cinema,dts neo) and found the yamaha to be overall the better sounding of the 2 ...more detail, smoother,more low-end control of drivers,etc.... as far as features are concerned, I'm sure you can read the 2 lists...I hope our OPINIONS help

Yes, check here http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...48#post489548. I am very happy RX-V1200 owner, and compared with the 3801 and the Pioneer Elite 35 (I believe) I liked the Yamaha the best.
