Hi everyone this is my first post.

...and I will be making more because I'm building a hometheatre in the basement. I've bought Klipsch RF-600B towers and a Yamaha RX-V379 receiver for the audio. can someone tell me if I am underpowering these speakers? I have put them LOUD and have not heard distortion but this lovely article http://www.klipsch.com/blog/how-to-buy-the-best-home-theater-receiver/ has me pondering the possibility that I may in fact be underpowering them. Thanks for your help.

Sean

Hello Sean, welcome to the forum!

You shouldn't have to worry about under powering those speakers. They have a sensitivity of 97dB which means you only need less than 10 watts to get them well over 100dB. That AVR is good for 70 watts at 2 channel so you'll have more than enough to push a pair of those towers to ear bleeding levels.
