Why doesn't the Yamaha site not have prices? Which of their reciever will be in the same catagory as the Onkyo 700, and Denon 2802? Also, how much did you canadains pay for it.-Is there any good sites for CDN people to buy recievers?

Thanks

Hey,

I believe the 2802 is in the same price point as the RX-V1200. I think those retail for the same price as the 2802 which is (I believe) around $1200. You should be able to pick one up for under $1000.

When you say "good sites for CDN people to buy recievers?" do you mean as in on-line or as in stores? The RX-V line is not sold on-line, you'll have to go with the HTR-5490 if you want to purchase online. And sorry, I don't know of any Canadian online retailers except maybe FutureShop.

I think retail on the RXV-1200 is around $1300 CDN??

I paid around $900 CDN for my RXV-1200, but that was with a corporate discount at A&B Sound here in Edmonton.

BTW, I believe that retail on the Denon 2802 is around $1500 CDN. That's what A&B Sound is trying to sell it for anyways.

Nick, you're right. Now that I think about it the RX-V1200 was listed at $1299. But at the store I was looking at so was the 2802. The RX-V2200 was listed at $1599 but I got it for $1200.
