Any opinions on this player compared to the usually better Pioneers Bob
If I remember correctly this is a clone of the Pioneer 605 karaoke player.
Well ,then it would'nt be much better than my Pioneer 406?
It is better but not by much, they both came out at a time when Pioneer was beginning to cheapen the components. 50db for video instead of 49db.
Thanks Tony. I'm going to wait for a deal on the 90,91,919 or 909. That is of course if I find one reasonable enough.
Bob, the 901 is a clone of the CLD-59/504 design. Assuming it does perform on par with those decks, proably, it gives 50 db. The 909/919 does 50 db. The 90/91 will yield 51 db video. Best wishes!
But Rachael that Yamaha has digital memory for CLV making a 604 clone. I had that Yamaha in my home for an evening once when I was looking for a new player. It's a good player, and was way better than my Sony MDP-650. I brought it back to the shop that let me take it home and try it in my sytstem and ordered a 704.
Phil, the 504/605/59 they're all the same basic player with slightly different feature sets. The 59 has DIGITAL FIELD MEMORY too, BTW. I stille have a 59, I've had two. It's on loan to my mom right now. Best wishes!
