Hello guys,
I have recently bought myself 5.1 paradigm speakers with a yamaha receiver. I was wondering if this receiver is suffice for the best possible sound I can get from my current head sets (audio technica m50x, I am aware these are low impedance) or is it worth investing in a dedicated dac/amp like the soundblaster x7. Some of you maybe wondering why i am considering the x7's, it's because it seems to be the only dac that can emulate 5.1 on headphones as I like to play games. Also note, the receiver is connected to a pc. Please shed some light on this.
Thanks in advance
