Yamaha 2400 or Denon 2805 ??? (1 Viewer)

Any thoughts. I am new to this, but the Yamaha 2400 I bought will be in the end of the week. The guy working there mentioned the Denon 2803 is in stock and $100. less.

Not sure which to go with.

Flip a coin pretty much. I like the Yamaha 2400 better on this count.

Yamaha. DPLIIx, YPAO, Component Upconversion - the Denon 2803 cannot touch any of this. If you meant Denon 2805 instead of 2803, as was said above, flip a coin - literally.

Yeah, I think it was 2805, and 3805 for $100. more than the Yamaha 2400

Denon 3805 vs. Yamaha 2400? That's a tough call. I might lean towards the 3805 by a sliver. It would come down to the features you want more, as you probably wouldn't go wrong either way.

If this is going to be used for multi-zone or custom use, then the Yamaha with receiver editor software is a little bit easier to use.

A Denon 3805 for $100 more? The extra component in + the additional bandwidth makes that a definite no brainer.
