Y adapter for subwoofer cable needed (1 Viewer)

I have a regular RF connection mono subwoofer cable and I want to try using both right and left inputs on my sub. I don't want to spend $50 for a new cable with a Y on one end. Does any place sell a Y adapter I could put on my existing cable? If so please point me in the right direction.

I assume you are using an F-connector to RCA adapter on the cable? You can get “Y” adapters at Radio Shack for a few bucks.

Why bother ? You will just have to trim the sub down about 3db then you'll be back where you started.

I had to "Y" my LFE in 3 places for Bass Shakers and, truth be told, I bought the "Y" connectors at a dollar store! Work fine and no apparent loss.

My Hsu VTF-2 has L-R inputs, and I bought a nice L-R cable with Tributaries RCA connectors. If my receiver (Onkyo 989) has mono power out to the sub (are all receivers this way?), what do I do? Same type of Y connector?
