Xupiter?!?! (@#*&$@#($*& (1 Viewer)

Alright, I have this annoying adcrap on my computer, and I've managed to get rid of it, except for one thing...

Whenever i type in an incorrect url, it goes to the xupiter homepage... I tried resetting my search page, i tried resetting all my pages, etc, nothing... heck , i even dl'd IE 6 to try and get rid of it, still nothing...

how can i stop this?!!?

Try a program called SpyBot. It removes adware and spyware such as Xupiter.

Ad-aware. Scans and removes spyware. Has updatable reference files (like a virus scanner). Free.

It's in the registry. Whenever you type in anything but a webpage IE goes to the MSN search page. Xupiter replaced that registry key with its own webpage. Just go to Start > Run > Regedit. Then to Edit > Find and type Xupiter. For this partcular key you don't have to delete the whole thing, jsut right click it and modify its value.

Or you can upgrade to the newest version of IE (if you can) and that automatically replaces all the registry settings. I'd still go through the registry looking for anything Xupiter related.
