XP30 front panel display (1 Viewer)

I have seen complaints on this forum about the overly bright front panel display on the XP30 and now that mine has arrived I must say that it is very bright. What I can't find is a way to dim it or put it in auto mode. I have scoured the manual, the setup and the display menus to no avail. How do you put the front panel display in auto mode?

Page 19 of the owners manual, under the "display" heading. Set it to Auto.

Thanks, found it. The menu/setup system for the Panasonic players is terrible. It is a miracle that I found out how to output progressive scan with this thing. For such a great player, the setup sure sucks.
