XP saves jpg files as bmp (1 Viewer)

XP won't allow me to sa ve jpg files correctly. Instead they are saved as bmp. How do I correct this?

Its not just XP. I've notice IE does it on win2k also. I use mozilla to get around it.

Kevin, Chad pointed you in the right direction. I fixed the same problem a while ago in Win2K by deleting the temporary internet files (but I switched to Mozilla last summer and am happy with it).

Now my unresolved problem is that I can't get thumbnail views of my image files any more. Mike, does Mozilla make an OS?
