Ugh, I was so disappointed by the cinemas of this game. They skip about every 5-10 seconds, and it's very noticeable.

Must be a bad disc or your system. No problems here with the copy I rented.

I've talked to some other people, and quite a few have the skipping too, and then there are other people who say they don't have it.

Are you sure you don't see any skipping at all? It isn't huge long skips, it's quick little ones.

Seems to happen with the opening cinema - showing the helicopter. Later ones are OK on my XBox.

oh oh, that's the sign on impending death for your system. mine staretd doing that for CG intros, then moved on to disk read errors during gameplay. Then death.

i have a broken X-Box on ebay as we speak because of this.

oscar, you have it listed as broken right??( i know you do but this is a pet peeve of mine) it pisses me off that people sell ps2's that only read certain color disks on ebay every day, making it impossible to aquire one used without huge risk.....

Played more of the thing, and still no skipping cinemas. I can't believe people would try to sell a ps2 on ebay with a screwed up laser. Considering the cost to repair, you might as well buy a new system.

My XBox sure doesn't seem to be dying. No skipping in any other games, CG or otherwise. I got a 2nd copy of the game, same thing, so I got worried, but that copy ALSO skipped in my friend's XBox that also works fine with everything else.

A bunch of other people at GameFaqs agree the cinemas are skipping, and there are also a few there that agree with you guys. I'm so very confused.

All right, I've experienced some skipping cinemas now. I saved after the tools area, and it looks like this my be termed a boss fight of sorts. The cinemas did indeed skip.

My XBOX skips during cinemas on most discs, too...but it works flawlessly during gameplay, I guess because the game is loaded and doesn't need to coninually read the disc.

I never play movies on mine. I have a real DVD player for that.

    Had my XBOX since 11/01

No problems with skipping so far (except for very minor during opening cutscene.) Maybe I'll see them later.
