I kept hearing that the price of the XBOX was going to drop from 199.99 to 149.99 on the 15th of May. Any confirmation that this has happened?

Sony and Microsoft just dropped the price of the PS2 and the X-Box to $179.99.

You can see that the price drop has indeed occurred simply by looking at www.gamestop.com or even the WalMart site.

When's the next generation of consoles coming out? I lost interest in my PS2 when it became a Grand Theft Auto and EA football machine.

last i heard was 2005-2006. also, there're only 2 Grand Theft Auto games on the PS2, and 1 NFL/1 College football game comes out each year from EA. Just cuz these sell well doesn't mean that plenty of other good and dissimilar games have been released for the system.
