XBox Live game recommendations (1 Viewer)

Ok I finally have purchased the XBox live communicator and now I need to buy some games to play on line.

I noticed that there are quite a few of you who are using XBox live so I thought I would ask for some recommendations.

I noticed that Mechassualt is down to $19.99. I've read that the single player mode is not that strong but is it worth it for the on-line gaming?

I enjoy shooting games, so in short which games are worth at least rentals, although I prefer purchasing in the long run.

NHL2k3-If you like hockey
Ghost Recon-If you can find it cheap pick it up. Lots of fun when the HTF guys get together

If you give MotoGP a chance, you may find it endlessly entertaining. It's the best live game IMO.

MechAssault and NHL are good too.
