Hi all,
I picked up Project Gotham Racing last night and sure enough, it has the option for you to rip your own tracks. I always thought it would be cool to have a little Van Halen and G'NR playing while driving the streets of NYC. So, what are you planning to rip to your hard drives?
My list:
Van Halen - You Really Got Me Now
G'NR - Welcome to the Jungle
Brainbug - Nightmare
The Who - Who Are You?
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Judas Priest - You Got Another Thing Comin'
I'll edit this post as I remember more titles.

Haven't thought too much about it yet.
I'll probably use some techno tracks from Run Lola Run, some Nine Inch Nails remix tracks, Tempest 2000 soundtrack, some heavy guitar stuff from King Crimson, Mike Kenneally. And a lot more, once I think about it some more. :)
I wonder if the only way to normalize the tracks will be to rip them to the PC, normalize them, then burn them to CD-RW.

I believe the game comes with two tracks by The Murder City Devils, if you like rock n roll I would leave those tracks turned on.

I saw that one of the NY Radio Stations was called "Hot 97" which is a real radio station here. I'm real interested to see how well the type of music in the game matches the music played on the radio, and if real DJs were used in the game. I don't listen to Hot 97 at all, and it's too bad that they couldn't use K-Rock or DHA, but I'd still like to see how authentic the music is.

I'm not sure I'll do this very often. Unless, of course, the in-game music REALLY sucks.
The ripping process is just very slow on the Xbox. I'm used to the average 30 second rip on my PC. Xbox is at least double that.
