xbox dvd player (1 Viewer)

it makes a very good dvd player imho (don't laugh til you try it)

Xbox has been quite good at giving me DD + DTS runnung audio through its digi outputs and into my receiver. I am just starting to learn about dvd audio, I am wondering if my xbox is capable of sening a dvd audio signal to my receiver for processing (or sacd for that matter). I haven't tried yet, anyone know if this will work?

I don't think the XBOX has 5.1 analog outputs - DVD-Audio isn't output through the digital outs. Only some higher end players now have a firewire link to carry hirez audio to receivers
