Xbox DVD- DTS? Compatability? (1 Viewer)

I haven't seen anything that comments on the Xbox's abaility to output a DTS signal-I'm assuming it can, but can anyone confirm this?

Also, what about compatability? I've read horror stories about the Ps2 and dvd playback, and would hate to replace my Apex with the Xbox and find out that a bunch of my discs no longer work.
