    My setup:

Panasonic 27" TV with composite inputs only

    Outlaw receiver

    The bottom line:

Is it possible for me to listen to dolby digital AND use a composite hookup at the same time?

The way I understand it, the HD pack only has component hookups (no composite). I'm not sure about the advanced pack. Can I use it with my system or will I have to upgrade my TV before I can bask in the goodness of DD?

    John,

While I haven't tried the composite connection, the advanced AV pack has both S-video (that I use) and composite connections as well as the digital output. You can use your own digital optical and composite cables and you should be fine.

Yep, the Advanced AV pack works for composite video and optical audio output simultaneously.
