I recently purchased my XBox and have a problem with the left and right channels. Here's the setup:

    H/K 520 Receiver
DefTech BP 2000 Tower main channels
    DefTech 2002 CLR Center channel
    DefTech Surrounds
XBox connected via Monster Cable 400x and 100x (component and toslink cables).

During several cutscenes and sometimes during gameplay, the right channel volume is so low that I can hardly hear it. If I turn the right channel up to +10 and the left down to -5, it is almost corrected, but during other scenes it goes back to "normal" and is completely out of whack.

I also have a PS2 (toslink), GameCube (stereo), and DVD (toslink) hooked up and have never experienced this problem with them.

    Any suggestions?

I'd suspect the Monster Cable products. Is it too late to return them & try the Microsoft Hi-definition AV pack with a separate toslink cable? There have been some problems reported with the Monster products...maybe try doing a search on them here in this forum.

It could be your Xbox, but I'd bet it's the 400x not working correctly.
